In a bowl, mix 1 can of pumpkin, 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 3 eggs, and 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice until well combined. Pour this mixture into a baking dish. Evenly top the pumpkin mixture with the cake mix of your choice, but DO NOT MIX it in. Slice 1 stick of butter into small pieces and distribute them over the cake mix layer. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is deep golden in the corners and crispy. Keep your eye on it!
